Stiel Direct LLC originally began in 1978 as Ad-Vans
Advertising in Newport Beach, California. Our founder, Dan Stiel, started the company with several classmates as a means
to pay their tuition as students at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business.
Our very first clients in the late 1970s and early
1980s included some of Southern California's most innovative and successful regional financial institutions of the time, including
Denticare, Bank of America, Santa Monica Bank, Bank of Newport, 3M, GTE, National Bank of Whittier, and many others.
After graduating from USC in 1983, Dan sold his
interests in Ad-Vans and went to work in the marketing department at First Interstate Bancorp (acquired by Wells Fargo in
1996) where he developed his career over the next eleven years beginning in Market Research and quickly progressing through
Marketing Services, Product Management, and Vice President, Marketing Director for its Southern California operations.
Dan followed this success with senior level marketing assignments at Visa USA and Circle K Stores, Inc.
In 1999, Stiel Direct was launched with a focus
towards national and international retailo and financial services clients seeking innovative and effective marketing solutions
in a constantly changing and challenging business climate. Clients have included some of the nation's largest financial institutions,
retailers, and manufacturers.
In 2008, we spun-off our special events business
into a new company called NWA Festivals, which creates and manages large scale expos and festivals to benefit local charitable
organizations.
Today, we tackle large and small scale regional, national, and international marketing
initiatives and specialty assignments for many mid-size and Fortune 100 clients.
